It’s quite simple: the Slide-Autolock can be opened easily with your finger by sliding it along the recessed brass slider – and locks itself again automatically when you release the catch.
The carabiner is designed in such a way that it cannot be opened either by pressure against the catch, or by vibration, or by manipulation via the rope.
