Accessible Travel Statement

We endeavour to ensure that our website is accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act (BaFG), as amended, which implements the European Accessibility Directive (Directive 2019/882) on the accessibility requirements for products and services. In doing so, we take the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1 AA – into account as far as possible. The Accessibility Act was published in the Federal Law Gazette (BGBl.) I No. 76/2023.

Current status of compliance with the requirements

This website is currently partially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA.

As part of the ongoing technical and editorial development of the website, existing barriers are being gradually identified and rectified.

Potential barriers and ongoing optimisations

Restrictions may currently still arise, particularly in the following areas:

  • Form labels: Individual form or filter elements may not yet be consistently provided with unambiguous programmatic labels. This can make use of the site particularly difficult for screen reader users.
  • Alternative text: Meaningful alternative text is not currently available for all images and graphic elements.
  • Buttons and links: Individual buttons or links may not yet be adequately labelled for assistive technologies.
  • Contrast: In some areas, text and design elements do not yet consistently meet the recommended contrast ratios.
  • Headings and structure: The semantic structure of headings, filters and individual page elements is continuously reviewed and improved.
  • External content and applications: Where third-party services or applications are integrated, we have only limited influence over their technical implementation.

Our aim is to gradually reduce these barriers as part of the ongoing development of the website.

As we continue to develop this content, we are placing greater emphasis on ensuring it is as user-friendly as possible, clearly structured and accessible.

Preparation of the Accessible Travel Statement

This statement is based on an internal assessment of the website and is regularly reviewed and updated as part of ongoing technical development.

Should an external audit in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA be carried out for the Climbers Paradise Tirol website in future, the results of this audit will be incorporated into the accessibility statement.
