The Märchenwiese climbing garden is a small, well-secured training area with routes ranging from 8 to 15metres in length. It is ideal for learning lead climbing, and thanks to the closely spaced bolts, even children can safely gain their first experience on the rock. The approach starts at the Niederelbehütte lodge, passing the small lakes to the left and leading through the Märchenwiese. Cairns and clear path markings guide the way, which takes around 12minutes.

The Kreuzjochblick climbing garden features four demanding routes ranging from 25 to 35metres in length, set in steep rock terrain. The routes are well secured but not suitable for beginners. Due to loose blocks in the upper grassy section of the wall, it is recommended to abseil from the anchor points rather than exiting at the top. On the right side of the wall, there is also an easy training route with three short pitches – perfect for gaining first experiences in multi-pitch climbing. The approach is easy and takes about 10minutes along the marked trail to the Kreuzjoch summit.
