Hahntennjoch / Anhalter Kraxlfels
Just a few minutes’ hike from the Anhalterhütte, the Anhalter Kraxlfels is located directly below the hiking trail toward Kromsattel/Hinterbergjoch/Rotlechtal-Tarrentonalm. Twenty short but attractive routes, ranging in difficulty from 3 to 6c, offer ideal conditions for climbing enthusiasts of all ages, thanks to the comfortable, moss-covered base of the cliff, accompanied by a refreshing little stream. A true gem for families.

From the car park at the Hahntennjoch pass:
Around 1.5 hours
Take bus route 155 (Imst – Hahntennjoch – Pfafflar – Elmen) 4 times a day. Get off at the Hahntennjoch Passhöhe stop.
From Außerfern (Elmen):
Take bus route 155 – Elmen – Pfafflar – Hahntennjoch – Imst, which runs four times a day. Get off at the Hahntennjoch Passhöhe stop.
From Imst or the Außerfern region to the highest point of the Hahntennjoch pass. Follow the footpath to the Anhalterhütte. Once there, continue to follow the signs for ‘Anhalter Kraxlfels’. Once there, follow the signs for “Anhalter Kraxlfels” along hiking trail 601 towards
Tschachaun/Tarrentonalm/Nassereith. After a few minutes, you’ll come to a signpost pointing to the right into the greenery. From there, head down slightly to the Kraxlfels, which is already visible.
