The 67 km-long Ötztal valley guarantees a first-class experience of nature and sport. Here you’ll find not only Tirol’s highest waterfall, the Stuibenfall (159 m), and Austria’s second-highest mountain, the Wildspitze (3,772 m), but there is also no other valley in Tirol where fantastic Rock Climbing Areas, varied Via Ferrata/Iron Ways and Rock Climbing Areas are situated so close together as they are here. The Ötztal therefore has something to suit every ability level!
And for those who want to get out and about away from the rock face, there’s an extensive programme of outdoor activities on offer – from Mountain biking in the Bike Republic Sölden to a visit to the Aqua Dome – Tirol Therme Längenfeld or Area47, to exploring the numerous Uphill Facilities in the Ötztal or Lake Piburg in Oetz.
