Seefelder Panorama Via Ferrata
Attention: The via ferrata is closed until 16.06.2025 due to the bird nesting season.
CHARACTERISTICS:
The panoramic via ferrata to Seefelder Spitze (2,221 m), with stunning views of the entire Seefeld plateau and even the Zugspitze, offers not only great resting spots but is a true mountain experience for experienced climbers.
On 450 meters of cable, you will climb the Dolomite-like limestone in several longer vertical sections, which are sparsely equipped with footholds and are sometimes quite exposed. This via ferrata, with many B/C passages, is a pleasure to climb and can be completed in half a day thanks to the support of the cable cars.

NOTE:
The via ferrata, rated C in difficulty, is mainly recommended for sporty and advanced climbers.
The airy vertical sections and the resting spots with panoramic views at various ledges offer special enjoyment and invite you to take in the scenery.
The tour can be extended from Seefelder Spitze along the exposed, partially secured black mountain path to Reither Spitze.
RENTAL EQUIPMENT:
Climbing gear for the via ferrata can be rented at the valley station of the Rosshütte cable cars.
CAUTION:
In spring, you may encounter old snowfields when approaching or descending.
For a hearty meal, the panoramic restaurant at the Rosshütte station offers a wide menu.
The last descent from Seefelder Joch is at 16:45, and from the Rosshütte station (funicular) at 17:00. Tickets for the descent can be purchased both at the mountain station at Joch and the Rosshütte station (funicular).
Those who prefer to walk down can turn left on the trail towards Seefelder Joch after a short time and continue hiking down to Seefeld.
For those who still want more, the "Königstour" is an option. It leads from Seefelder Joch, partly exposed, to Reither Spitze and requires surefootedness (black hiking trail). After a break at the Nördlinger Hut, you can hike to the Härmelekopf gondola and return to the valley by gondola and funicular (last descent at 16:45), or descend to Reith.

From Innsbruck, take the A12 Inntal Autobahn to the Seefeld/Garmisch exit, then continue over the Zirlerberg to Seefeld. From Landeck/Reschen, take the A12 to the Telfs Ost exit and then drive through Mösern to Seefeld. From Garmisch, drive via Mittenwald and Scharnitz to Seefeld.
In Seefeld, drive to the Rosshütte mountain lifts. The access is via the B177 main road and the open-air parking lot. Park at the Rosshütte parking lot, which has an electric charging station.
