Scenic Rosskopf Via Ferrata leads along the impressive north face of Rosskopf peak at 2.399 hm above sea level and offers a true alpine experience with awe-inspiring panoramic view of Ötztal valley. The route continuously features difficulty levels B to B/C and has varied passages with huge slabs, short steep sections and ridge crossings.

Access
The starting point is at the top station of Acherkogelbahn gondola lift (2.020 hm). From there, follow the well-sign posted hiking trail towards "Schafer Kreuz". From the cross, an old sheep parth leads to the start of the via ferrata. Helmets are mandatory on this approach section.

Descent
The descent route is not far from the summit. Via the south flank of Rosskopf you follow a marked hiking trail back to the top station of Acherkogelbahn gondola lift.

Journey
From the roundabout at the beginning of the Ötztal, drive approximately 7 kilometers on the Ötztaler Federal Road B 186 to Oetz. At the end of the village, the Acherkogelbahn is located on the left side.

The paid parking lot is located at the valley station of the Acherkogelbahn.
