The Achensee 5-summit via ferrata offers steep ferrata passages and hiking sections over a length of 2km. It connects 5 peaks with routes of varying difficulty.
At 2,299m, the Hochiss is the highest mountain in the Rofan mountains and offers unique rock. The most impressive section is the summit face.

Access
From the top station of the Rofan cable car in Maurach, follow the signposted trail in the direction of Hochiss until you see the sign "Abzweigung Klettersteig".
Descent
From the summit, descend on the signposted hiking trail back to the top station of the Rofan cable car.
Public transport
Take the regional bus (line 8332, 4080 or 390) to the Rofan cable car in Maurach. Exit at the bus-stop: Maurach a. A. Rofan Seilbahn. Ascent with the Rofan cable car.

The valley station of the Rofan cable car is located directly on the Achensee federal road B181, above the centre of Maurach.
