Wilder Kaiser
Klamml via ferrata

🄱
Basic information

The Klamml via ferrata on the south side of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range is situated between the Gaudeamushütte and the Gruttenhütte mountain huts. The via ferrata is short but crunchy and consists of two sections: a lower section (difficulty level B/C); and an upper section (difficulty level D). It is possible to exit after the lower section. A spectacular two-rope bridge connects the two sections

Notes on using via ferratas:

  • Climbing ist only allowed from bottom to the top!
  • Helmet, climbing harness and via ferrata set are obligatory!
  • Surefootedness, a good head for heights and good fitness levels are essential!
  • Avoid causing rock falls, which pose a danger to other hikers!
  • Only enter the upper section if you’ve coped with the lower one with no difficulty!
  • A maximum of 1 person on the two-rope bridge!
  • Leave the exit as soon as you’ve crossed!
  • Using the via ferrata is at your own risk!
