Basic information

If you want to climb the Rote Flüh in a more exposed position, you can try the Friedberger Klettersteig. This tour is mostly done from the Schartschrofen, but then you have the hardest part of the descent. But also from the Gimpelhaus the ascent is very popular. An alternative is also the ascent via the Adlerhorst, where you can constantly have a longing look at the cool waters of the Haldensee, but this variant is a somewhat longer round tour.

The difficulties are located at the short but crisp SO wall of the coulter.

The steep passage at the Schartschrofen, which is very prone to rock falls, should not be underestimated! Due to its southern exposure, the via ferrata can usually be accessed early in the year - also in the opposite direction from the Gimpelhaus. The ascent via the Adlerhorst is a long round trip, during which you always have the Haldensee in view.
