Sport climbing in the Seefeld Olympia region

Climbing has been a tradition in and around Seefeld since 1922. Pioneers of climbing, like Bernhard Prommer, Reini Scherer, Heinz Zak and Bernhard Hangl, opened many via ferratas and climbing gardens. For example, a very popular crag for sport climbing is the Chinesische Mauer. While this area is mainly for experienced climbers, Mauerbogen offers many climbs for beginners and hobby climbers. The Olympia region Seefeld is located on a high plateau with an altitude level of 1.200m.

Besides climbing, you can also visit an idyllic mountain lake – the  Möserer Lake. With an altitude level of 1.292m, it is a perfect place to cool down on a hot summer day. Another great opportunity to relax when the weather is less than ideal is the Alpenbad bath Leutasch. A hike up to the Wettersteinhütte hut in the Karwendel mountains is also highly recommended!

Whether you want to spend your time climbing or out in nature, you surely won’t get bored in the Seefeld Olympia region!
