Description:
Ideal climbing garden for newcomers. Access, the distance between pitons and the routes are short. The wall dries quickly after rainfalls. The climbing garden Walchenbach was made for climbing with children. However, also it is also suitable for beginners thanks to the perfectly secured routes. All routes are equipped with "Umlenk" carabiners.
Route lengths: 5 - 15 meter.

There is a general overview board for all routes which all the route names at the entry points. A picnic place provides seats for up to 10 people.

Equipment: 14 Express slings/webbing slings + 50 meter rope + helmet
Best season: Spring, Summer, Autumn and warm Winter days.

Exit the motorway A12 at Imst and then drive towards Fernpass through Tarrenz until the hamlet of Walchenbach. The parking space is on the right side of the street, opposite of the building yard of the community. Then cross the state road and then follow a forest path for 50 meters. Now take the turn to the left and further for ca. 50 meters until the first serpentine. From there a small path in 5 minutes to the wall.
Anfangs über eine leicht geneigte Platte, verlangt die Tour beim kleinen Überhang eine Portion Kraft.
Die Route folgt immer dem gelben Streifen und ist definiert: Der Sparkassenriss darf weder als Tritt noch als Griff verwendet werden.
Gefinkelte Querung von Schnewittchen bis zum Straderweg.
Gefinkelt -On-Sight-Begehung schwierig. Nach Griffausbruch jetzt 6c.
Größenproblem - für Kinder sehr schwierig.
Durch die Felsräumarbeiten im Mai 2011 ist die Route etwas schwerer geworden.
