Wonderful primary rock climbing on compact rock.

Approx. 400 m high, west-facing primary rock pillar leading to the north ridge of Schweikert (Gsallgratl). From there it takes about an hour and a half to reach the summit, sometimes with a light and airy climb.

From the Verpeilalm you follow the Dr. Angerer Steig for about 30 min in the direction of Gsalltal. At Stuanmandl a few meters up the gully and to the right diagonally up u, a field edge. In five minutes you reach the start.

Approach

From the Verpeilalm you follow the Dr. Angerer Steig for about 30min in the direction of Gsalltal. At the Steinmanndl a few meters up the gully and to the right diagonally upwards around a rock edge. In five minutes you reach the entrance.

Approach

Verpeilalm - via the Dr. Angerer Höhenweg into the northern Gsalltal valley and on to a prominent plate pillar on the north face of the Hochrinnegg. Walking time approx. 2 hours - from the lowest point at the Plattenpfeiler approx. 80m to the left. The entrance is on a small rock head (drill hook with red sling)

 

Attention: In early summer there are often still snowfields (pickaxe recommended)

Follow the red markers into the saddle to the east of the summit and from there you reach Rosskarle on the east side of the mountain via ribbons.

From there, take the wide hiking trail to the hut (summit - Verpeil hut approx. 2h)

Approach

From the Verpeil Alm you follow the Dr. Angerer Steig to the Gsalltal. On the descent to the Gsalltal you leave the hiking trail at the first best opportunity and cross into the rear Gsalltal. The start is at the lowest foothill of the easternmost plate pillar of the north face, which breaks off here to the gully between the middle pillar and Schweikert.
