Climbing gyms in the Steinberge Mountains – climbing fun in every season!

The Steinberge mountain area in the Tirol-Salzburg border region offers great climbing opportunities, especially for climbers who love to spend their holidays on rock and get great value on their trip. The Loferer and Leogang Mountains have a lot to offer: from family-friendly climbing gardens, ten challenging via ferratas, more than 1.000 sport climbing routes and numerous alpine multi pitches. The route „Pinzgawurm“ (45 pitches) is one of the longest alpine sport climbing routes. There are several climbing guides and manuals which can help inform you about the area.   • Felsenfest climbing gym – Saalfelden:The Felsenfest climbing gym in Saalfelden offers 1.700m2 climbing surface with both an outdoor and indoor area for lead climbing and bouldering. There are over 250 sport climbing routes and 150 defined boulders graded between 3 and 10.
  • St. Jakob climbing gym: The St. Jakob climbing gym is located in the Familienland leisure park. It is approximately 600m2 big and offers more than 60 routes between 3 and 10. The bouldering area is around 100m2 big. There is also a trampoline, a ball pit, a climbing wall particularly for children, a low rope garden and climbing courses.
  • Weißbach climbing gym: The small climbing gym in Weißbach is opened all year around. You can pick up the key at the Ferienwiese Weißbach. There are 10 routes between 4 and 8.
