Climbingrules


Get used to your equipment

Only use equipment that conforms to the necessary standards (CE – symbol) and study the instructions carefully.

Warm up before climbing

Warmup exercises protects your joints, muscles and tendons

Partner check before every climb :

Check one anothers equipment.  Knots, harnesses, belay, carabiners and ropes.

Full concentration by belaying:

Your partners life lays in your hands

Let your partner know whats going on 

Good communication avoids misunderstandings, inform your partner before starting climbing or abseiling

Never run a rope over a rope

Ropes should only be redirected over metal parts.  Never run two ropes through the same carabiner.

Protect your head

A helmet will protect you from head injuries from a fall or falling rocks.

Be considerate to others:

Respect other climbers and help inform them about potential hazards.  Take heed of areas where climbing is prohibited.
